Canada Jetlines Announces Strategic Partnership with European Carrier

Canada Jetlines Operations Ltd. (Cboe CA:CJET) revealed a strategic wet lease agreement with a notable European carrier, aiming to meet the high demand for A320 aircraft globally. Starting in late April 2024, the partnership will initially involve one aircraft for six months, followed by a second aircraft in late June for three months. This move illustrates Canada Jetlines' ability to maximize fleet utilization by sending its aircraft and crew to Europe during the summer peak season.

Eddy Doyle, CEO of Canada Jetlines, mentioned the company's fleet expansion to 6 aircraft in January and highlighted the significant need for these aircraft in Europe during its busy season. He also stated that the two planes would return to Canada for the fall/winter travel period to leisure destinations, emphasizing the company’s commitment to efficiency and meeting seasonal customer demand.

The airline's summer schedule includes flights from Toronto to Halifax, Halifax to Orlando, Toronto to Orlando, Toronto to Montego Bay, and Toronto to Cancun, catering to leisure travelers seeking attractive destinations.
