Carrefour Completes Share Buyback Program for 2024
Carrefour has completed its €700 million share buyback program for 2024. Announced on February 20, the program allowed the repurchase of 47,651,459 shares at an average price of €14.69 per share. This marks a significant financial move for the company.
Following shareholder authorization from the Annual General Meeting on May 24 and a Board of Directors decision on October 23, Carrefour repurchased an additional 92,734 shares. These were acquired at an average price of €14.26 per share. The newly acquired shares, along with others held in treasury, aim to fulfill the 2022 performance share plan for employees, set for delivery in February 2025.
