On April 13, 2025, Carrefour's Board of Directors decided to co-opt Anne Browaeys as an independent director. This decision follows the recommendation of the Governance Committee. Browaeys replaces Stéphane Israël until the end of his term, which concludes with the General Meeting set to approve the 2026 financial statements.

The ratification of Browaeys' appointment will be proposed at the upcoming Annual General Meeting on May 28, 2025. She is set to join Carrefour's Remuneration Committee, bringing with her significant expertise in marketing and digital strategies. Browaeys currently serves as Managing Director at Club Med, overseeing markets in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and North America.

Carrefour's Chairman and CEO, Alexandre Bompard, expressed confidence in Browaeys' ability to enhance the company's governance with her skills.
