CCL Industries Reports Growth Amid Mixed 2025 Year-End Results

CCL Industries Inc. announced its 2025 financial results, showing a 3.5% sales increase in Q4, reaching $1,876.2 million. This growth was driven by a mix of organic and acquisition growth, and favorable currency impacts. Despite a slight drop in net earnings to $171.1 million in Q4, the company posted a record annual adjusted basic earnings per Class B share at $4.64, a 7.4% increase over 2024.

The CCL and Avery segments showed strong organic sales growth despite declines in Checkpoint and Innovia. Operating income rose by 4.8% in Q4, supported by improved profitability in electronic markets and restructuring at Avery. However, higher tax rates impacted earnings, with a fourth-quarter rate hike from 22.9% in 2024 to 28.5% in 2025.

CCL returned $523.7 million to shareholders through dividends and buybacks while maintaining a stable balance sheet with a leverage ratio of 0.78. Looking forward, capital expenditures are set at $470 million for 2026, with anticipated continued foreign currency benefits.
