CE Broker and IMLCC Unveil New Tool for Medical License Renewals

JACKSONVILLE, FL / ACCESSWIRE / June 20, 2024 / CE Broker by Propelus and the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact Commission (IMLCC) have announced a new feature in their compliance verification tool. This tool is now available to all CE Broker partner medical boards and aims to streamline the compact renewal process.

Initially launched as a pilot project in June 2023, the tool allows medical boards to verify that physicians meet continuing education requirements before approving their license renewals. This update aims to minimize administrative tasks and protect public health.

Kelly Parker, Sr. Director of External Affairs & Government Relations at Propelus, noted that the tool simplifies the management of multi-state continuing education requirements for healthcare professionals. It centralizes the tracking, reporting, and completion of state-specific continuing education courses.

Marschall Smith, Executive Director of the IMLCC, highlighted that this partnership offers a more efficient renewal process, benefiting both physicians and boards by providing a seamless, online system.

The IMLCC administers the compact, facilitating an expedited licensure pathway for physicians across 40 states, Guam, and the District of Columbia.
