Celebrate Emergency Medical Services for Children Day
EMSC Innovation And Improvement Center recognizes Emergency Medical Services (EMS) clinicians for their dedication in caring for children. This year, the annual EMS for Children Day is on May 22, during the National EMS Week. A special webinar titled "Prehospital Pediatric Airway Management: The Past, Present, and Future" will be held. It offers EMS professionals insights into pediatric airway management and the chance to earn continuing education credits.
Dr. Kathleen Adelgais, an expert in prehospital pediatric care, highlighted the importance of high-quality, pediatric-specific care. She mentioned the progress and ongoing advancements being made in this field. The EMS program also launched a comprehensive national assessment with the Prehospital Pediatric Readiness Project to evaluate pediatric capabilities across EMS agencies.
