Central Bank of Bahrain Licenses Crypto.com as Payment Service Provider

MANAMA, BAHRAIN – The Central Bank of Bahrain has granted Crypto.com authorization to provide services as a Payment Service Provider (PSP). Operating under the trade name “FORIS GFS BH BSC CLOSED,” Crypto.com can now expand its payment services in e-money and fiat currencies.

This license will allow Crypto.com to launch its prepaid cards in the region. HE Noor bint Ali Alkhulaif, Bahrain’s Minister of Sustainable Development, highlighted the importance of this decision for the country’s digital economy. Bahrain is positioning itself as a major hub for blockchain and fintech innovations.

Eric Anziani, Chairman of Crypto.com, has praised Bahrain’s efforts to create a crypto ecosystem that fosters innovation. Bahrain continues to distinguish itself by issuing licenses for crypto assets, strengthening its reputation in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region.
