CGFNS International Joins WHO Stakeholder Network to Advance Rehabilitation Care

PHILADELPHIA, PA / ACCESSWIRE / July 23, 2024 / CGFNS International, a global leader in international credentials evaluation and certification, has joined the World Rehabilitation Alliance (WRA). The WRA is the World Health Organization's global network of stakeholders advocating for the implementation of WHO's Rehabilitation 2030 initiative.

"We are delighted to receive this recognition of our extensive work in developing practical solutions to improve rehabilitation care for the more than 2.4 billion people around the world who need it," said Dr. Peter Preziosi, President and CEO of CGFNS.

In the past five years, CGFNS has led collaborations to develop exam-based global certifications for health workers in rehabilitation settings. This resulted in the Certified Global Nurse - Rehabilitation (CGN-R), launched last month. CGFNS is also developing additional credentials, available in 2025.

As a new WRA member, CGFNS will participate in four workstreams: Workforce, Primary Care, Research, and Emergencies.
