Changes in the Executive Board of Swiss Steel Group

Lucerne, 24 June 2024 – Following a successful recapitalization and refinancing, Swiss Steel Group announces significant changes to its Executive Board.

Marco Portmann, CFO since April 2022, will leave the company after 19 years. He expressed gratitude for his tenure and collaboration with colleagues, particularly CEO Frank Koch.

The Board has appointed Thomas Löhr as the new CFO, effective 24 June 2024. Löhr previously served as CFO of Deutsche Edelstahlwerke Services GmbH and brings over 35 years of experience in finance and management.

Swiss Steel Group is also realigning its sales organization. From 1 July 2024, sales will be led by Chief Sales Officer Patrick Lamarque d'Arrouzat. Dr. Florian Geiger, the current CCO for engineering steels, will depart for new opportunities.

The new Executive Board, effective from 1 July 2024, will consist of CEO Frank Koch, CFO Thomas Löhr, and CSO Patrick Lamarque d'Arrouzat.
