Cherry SE Sells Hygienic Input Devices Business to Contour Design

Cherry SE has announced the sale of its hygienic input devices business to Contour Design Nordic A/S, a Danish peripherals manufacturer. The transaction involves a fixed purchase price of EUR 12.5 million, payable upon closing, with a variable component potentially reaching EUR 8.5 million. The latter is contingent on specific financial targets.

The business transfer, structured as an asset deal, includes the relevant assets from this segment. The completion of the transaction is expected in the second quarter of 2025, pending customary closing conditions. The move marks a strategic adjustment for Cherry SE, as it exits this business segment, formerly known as Active Key GmbH.
