On November 19, 2025, China Telecom Shanghai Branch launched a series of "Digital City Signage" installations throughout Shanghai. These displays symbolize the city's commitment to resident-centric, data-driven urban development. The initiative integrates telecommunications-based digital applications into daily life, transforming complex concepts like 5G-A and AI into accessible language and visuals.
Shanghai, now equipped with 10-gigabit networks, supports features like "Parental Controls & Online Protection" to safeguard children's online activities, and 5G-A connectivity at major events. These installations highlight Shanghai’s leading urban digital infrastructure and promote a scalable "AI CITY" model for global metropolitan digital modernization.
