City of Fort Worth Partners With Blyncsy on AI-Powered Asset Inventory

Blyncsy, Inc. has initiated a partnership with the City of Fort Worth, Texas, to automate the city's asset management inspection process in the first of four phases. The collaboration involves the North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG). Blyncsy uses artificial intelligence and crowdsourced visual imagery from dash cameras to provide near real-time situational awareness of roadway conditions.

This technology collects images from over 800,000 dash cameras nationwide and evaluates asset conditions in as little as 60 seconds. It can automatically inspect roadways and related equipment and update public feeds to notify authorities. Fort Worth will use this data to improve safety and efficiency for various road users and reduce costs associated with manual inspections.

Assistant Director of Transportation and Public Works Monty Hall noted that this real-time information will help the city quickly respond to critical issues. The initiative, led by NCTCOG, allows public entities nationwide to adopt this technology, promoting preventive maintenance and enhancing roadway safety and reliability.

Blyncsy's digital twin technology enables virtual identification of issues, reducing the need for manual inspections. Blyncsy CEO Mark Pittman highlighted the tool's potential to drive efficiency and safety improvements across the interstate highway system.
