City of Zug uses Procivis technology for digital evidence

The city of Zug in Switzerland has become the first public organization to issue digital evidence productively. This initiative will be integrated into the Swiss E-ID ecosystem planned by 2026 at the federal level. Thanks to the eZug platform, Zug now uses the Procivis One software solution to issue and verify digital evidence without requiring an additional application on users' smartphones.

For its first use case, Zug is issuing a digital ID card to over 500 teachers, offering discounts at local stationery stores. This innovation replaces physical cards and simplifies the annual renewal process.

Further applications are planned, such as the digital management of market authorisations. This solution aims to improve administrative efficiency while complying with legal requirements. Procivis One also guarantees future interoperability with the federal digital identity wallet that will be introduced in 2026.
