Closure of Ekinops Brasil: optimization strategy
EKINOPS, a major player in telecommunications solutions, announces the closure of its Brazilian subsidiary in Campinas by the end of 2024. This decision is part of a strategy to streamline research and development, now focusing on the Lannion site in France. The closure will result in annual savings of €3 million on operating expenses.
Ekinops Brasil, acquired in 2019, employs 25 engineers and had no sales function. The exceptional costs related to this closure are estimated at €1 million, mainly affecting intangible assets and inventories.
The recently expanded Lannion site will accommodate an increase in staff to support Ekinops' future technological innovations.
