Compagnie du Bois Sauvage Supports Futerro's Biorefinery Fundraising
Compagnie du Bois Sauvage is playing a pivotal role in aiding Futerro S.A. with its first fundraising endeavor for a biorefinery project in Europe. Futerro, a Belgian leader in lactic acid, lactide, and PLA production, has closed its initial funding round aimed at constructing a new biorefinery in Normandy.
The investment includes support from longstanding shareholders Finasucre and Compagnie du Bois Sauvage, alongside a new partner, CYBELLE. CYBELLE, affiliated with the food packaging sector through the CEDAP group, is now on board.
Benoît Deckers, CEO of Compagnie du Bois Sauvage, emphasized the strategic alignment of supporting Futerro’s growth and contributing to the decarbonization of the packaging industry. This initiative underscores efforts to establish future-oriented industrial sectors in Europe.
