CompuGroup Medical Acquires AmbulApps

CompuGroup Medical SE & Co. KGaA has announced the acquisition of AmbulApps GmbH, a company specializing in digital anamnesis tools. Founded in Neuss in 2015, AmbulApps organizes, digitizes, and structures patient data collection. CompuGroup Medical plans to integrate AmbulApps' applications into its own portfolio and further develop them.

AmbulApps provides solutions for digital patient information, anamnesis in waiting rooms, home visits, treatment plans, and medical intervention documentation. The data is stored in existing systems as both documents and structured information, reducing workload and optimizing information systems, particularly in previously paper-based practices. AmbulApps' experience in physician, clinic, and document management software, along with its extensive partner network, forms the basis for a robust and legally compliant software solution.

"With the acquisition of AmbulApps, we underline our commitment to providing innovative technologies to our healthcare customers," said Dr. Ulrich Thomé, Managing Director Ambulatory Information Systems DACH at CompuGroup Medical. "AmbulApps' expertise in digital anamnesis is a valuable addition and will be integrated into our existing solutions to further improve the effectiveness and efficiency of patient care," Thomé added.

Lars Schmidt, Managing Director of AmbulApps, expressed enthusiasm about the acquisition, stating, "We are delighted to become part of CompuGroup Medical, one of the world's leading e-health companies. This will allow us to expand AmbulApps' technology to a larger customer base and continue its development."
