Coppernico Announces Nomination of MJ McQuhae for Director and Appoints Gordon Fretwell as Lead Independent Director

Coppernico Metals Inc. has nominated Mary-Jane "MJ" McQuhae, MBA, for election as director at the upcoming annual general meeting on August 21, 2024. Additionally, the company has appointed Gordon Fretwell as Lead Independent Director.

Ms. McQuhae brings over 25 years of experience in business transformations and operational improvements, having held key roles at BHP and Elevare Consulting Group. She is recognized for driving significant project efficiencies and cost savings through innovative program management.

Mr. Fretwell, a long-time director of Coppernico, brings extensive legal and corporate governance expertise, reinforced by his role on several public company boards. His experience has been pivotal since Coppernico's inception.

Coppernico is preparing for its inaugural drill program and progressing toward listing its shares on a Canadian stock exchange. The company remains focused on advancing the Sombrero Project in Peru and exploring additional high-quality ventures in South America.
