Credit Agricole Completes 2024 Capital Increase for Employees
Credit Agricole S.A. announced the completion of its capital increase reserved for the 180,000 Crédit Agricole Group employees and retired former employees. The subscription period, which ran from June 27 to July 10, 2024, saw 23,918 participants worldwide investing a total of €169.0 million.
The scheme offered a 20% discount on the share price, calculated based on the arithmetic average of the opening prices from May 29 to June 25, 2024. New shares were issued and delivered on August 29, 2024.
This capital increase resulted in the creation of 15,128,677 new shares, bringing Crédit Agricole's total share count to 3,041,031,027. A subsequent share buyback operation will offset the dilutive effect of this increase, pending ECB approval, as part of the Group’s employee profit-sharing policy.
