EDF Announces New Board Appointment
On February 19, 2026, the Board of Directors of EDF appointed Martin Briens, Secretary General of the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, as a new Director. He replaces Anne-Marie Descôtes and will serve until the end of the General Meeting on the fiscal year ending December 31, 2026.
Briens's appointment follows a recommendation from the State, in line with governmental procedures outlined in Order No. 2014-948. His position will be up for ratification at the forthcoming General Meeting.
The current Board of Directors of EDF consists of 41.7% independent directors and has achieved a feminisation rate of 41.7%. Detailed biographies of the board members are accessible on the EDF website.
