Critical Elements Receives Amended Certificate of Authorization for the Rose Lithium-Tantalum Project in Quebec

Critical Elements Lithium Corporation has announced the reception of an amended certificate of authorization for its Rose Lithium-Tantalum project. Issued by Quebec’s Ministère de l'Environnement, the certificate includes plans for a permanent camp for 250 workers, temporary housing for an additional 250 people during construction, and two borrow pits.

This amended certificate allows the project to advance with construction permit applications for early earth works and the workers' camp. Despite challenges in the lithium market affecting share prices, Critical Elements remains focused on securing a financing package to support the project.

The management team, led by Yves Perron and Nancy Duquet-Harvey, has made significant progress on key activities and commitments. The project boasts several major permits and agreements, including an impact and benefits agreement with the Cree Nation of Eastmain and various governmental approvals.

Located within Quebec's competitive mining sector, the Rose project sees ongoing detailed engineering efforts that have yielded environmental benefits. The relocation of the workers’ camp and the replacement of a natural gas dryer with filter presses significantly reduced annual greenhouse gas emissions.

The project continues to advance towards a final investment decision. The team maintains robust stakeholder engagement, including with local Cree communities and governmental bodies. Exploration efforts at Rose West also show promise for enhancing the project's potential mine life and economics.
