Crossing of thresholds by Goldman Sachs in BNP Paribas
On May 17, 2024, The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. crossed the thresholds of 5% of the capital and voting rights of BNP Paribas. This crossing, declared to the AMF on May 23, 2024, concerns 72,372,646 shares, representing 6.31% of the capital and voting rights of BNP Paribas.
This movement results from an off-market acquisition. Following this operation, the trading exemption no longer applies. Goldman Sachs owns these shares through several entities such as Goldman Sachs International and Goldman Sachs Bank Europe SE.
In addition, additional shares are held by assimilation via various financial instrument contracts, totaling 67,034,558 BNP Paribas shares, including "put options", "call options", "swaps" and "futures", exercisable until 2037.
