DATAGROUP Manages Emergency Hotline for German Incident Response Team

Pliezhausen, 1 October 2024. DATAGROUP has taken charge of the 24/7 emergency hotline for the German Incident Response Team (DIRT). This initiative, founded by Compass Group, aims to provide immediate assistance for companies facing real-time IT security incidents. DATAGROUP's Incident Response Team promptly addresses these incidents to minimize damage and proactively prevent future security issues.

The hotline is available throughout Germany for companies with over 50 employees. It assists in incidents such as cyber-attacks, system failures, and significant IT infrastructure issues. Depending on the situation, DATAGROUP or another DIRT member company will handle the incident, ensuring an optimal resolution with broad expertise and additional resources.

Dino Huber, Managing Director of DATAGROUP’s Cybersecurity Unit, emphasizes that the emergency number reinforces DATAGROUP's reliability in cybersecurity, helping customers minimize IT incident risks.

Furthermore, DIRT has joined the cybersecurity network of the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI). This collaboration provides a large pool of incident experts nationally. With the EU’s new NIS2 Directive, companies must enhance security measures, making this support crucial for meeting increased requirements and responding to emergencies promptly.

From 22 to 24 October 2024, DIRT will exhibit at it-sa, Europe’s leading IT security trade fair. DATAGROUP will showcase their services and engage with industry experts.
