Air Liquide and Dunkerque LNG announce the support of the European Commission for the D'Artagnan project. This project aims to reduce CO2 emissions from the Dunkirk industrial basin by 1.5 million tonnes per year. It includes a pipeline for transporting CO2 and a maritime terminal to liquefy it before shipment. The planned subsidy is more than 160 million euros under the CEF-E program.

D'Artagnan will integrate CO2 capture technologies at Eqiom and Lhoist, then transport the CO2 to the new Dunkirk terminal for shipment. The terminal, based at the western port of Dunkirk, could ultimately manage up to 4 million tonnes of CO2 per year. The project requires around 400 million euros of investments.

This project marks a key step in reducing CO2 emissions from French industry. Thanks to this collaboration, Air Liquide and Dunkerque LNG believe they can strengthen the competitiveness and attractiveness of the region.
