Collateral Good Wins Mandate for Sustainable Food Fund
Collateral Good, a Zürich-based investment firm, has secured the management of a Sustainable Food Fund with approximately EUR 100 million in assets under management. The mandate was awarded after a competitive auction led by Deloitte Luxembourg, gaining the support of about 85% of existing investors. Previously named Blue Horizon Ventures I, the fund was in voluntary liquidation before the rebranding to "Collateral Good Food Innovation I".
This portfolio includes leaders in plant-based and cultivated food industries, such as Planted and Mosa Meat. The fund, now under the guidance of Collateral Good’s co-founders Mariana Gonzalez and Michael Kleindl, is supported by industry experts from companies like Nestlé and Bimbo Corporation.
The firm is now responsible for three Venture Capital Funds, managing more than EUR 140 million in total. The transition is seen as a vital step in enhancing sustainable food solutions, contributing to global nutrition security amid an increasing population.
