E Fund HK's Jeff Li Unveils Transformative Shifts at Bloomberg Invest 2026
During the Bloomberg Invest Hong Kong 2026 conference, Jeff Li, Chief Investment Officer of Global Equity at E Fund (Hong Kong), highlighted three major shifts in China's investment climate. Li emphasized a move from consumer to technology leadership, with Chinese firms pioneering in sectors like EV batteries, biotech, and AI. There is also a shift from localization to globalization, as Chinese enterprises expand their multinational operations. Lastly, a transition from “growth first” to sustainable growth is taking place, focusing on disciplined capital allocation and profitability.
Alongside these insights, E Fund revealed a licensing agreement with Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX) for an ETF tracking the HKEX Tech 100 Index. This will let mainland investors access opportunities within Hong Kong’s tech sector. Li expressed E Fund’s commitment to melding global views with local expertise to harness long-term value.
