EDAG Group Reports Positive EBIT Amid Revenue Decline in Q1 2026
EDAG Engineering Group AG announced a positive EBIT of EUR 1.9 million for Q1 2026, despite a 10.8% revenue drop to EUR 171.8 million. The challenging market environment persisted, impacting order intake and revenues, particularly in the mobility sector. However, strategic diversification and efficiency measures helped stabilize the business.
The Vehicle Engineering and Electric/Electronics segments showed improved EBIT, while Production Solutions faced a decline. Significantly, EDAG's Defence segment saw a noteworthy revenue increase, bolstering business stability. The order backlog grew to EUR 366.1 million, up from EUR 336.2 million at the end of 2025.
Headcount decreased to 7,947, with expansions in international structures, especially in India. Despite ongoing challenges, EDAG expects a possible return to positive adjusted EBIT of up to 3% for the fiscal year 2026.
