Egyptian Heritage and Palestinian Folklore Shine at Alamein Festival

The second edition of the Alamein Festival 2024 highlighted Egypt's cultural identity, heritage, and folk traditions. Organized by United Media Services under the patronage of Dr. Ahmed Hano, the festival featured performances from folkloric groups, showcasing Egypt’s artistic and musical diversity.

Iconic performances included the Arab Opera troupe, the Ismailia troupe, and the "El-Horria" team. The Aswan team performed Nubian folkloric pieces, reflecting Aswan’s historical significance. The Freedom team celebrated Alexandria’s culture with the “Banat Bahry” and "Alexandrian Wedding Procession."

The Assiut City Folk Arts team presented traditional performances from the Assiut governorate. A standout moment was the "Opera Al Layla Al-Kabira," celebrating Egyptian visual identity. The Reda Troupe and Palestinian artists like Mohamed Mounir and Dina El-Wedidi also delivered notable performances.

This year’s festival also featured theatrical performances, football matches, visits from ministers, and significant investment initiatives, reflecting robust cultural and economic collaborations.
