Ekosport expands its influence in Europe with the acquisition of SkiWebShop
On December 9, 2024, Ekosport, supported by IDI, announced the acquisition of SkiWebShop, a leading Dutch online retailer of winter sports equipment. This acquisition marks a strategic step for Ekosport, strengthening its presence in the Benelux and DACH markets.
SkiWebShop, founded by Vladimir Bashev and Margo Crooijmans, has a large portfolio of 10,000 references from 90 brands. The Breda-based company expects to generate 11 million euros in sales this year.
With this acquisition, Ekosport aims to reach 200 million euros in turnover within three years, targeting internationalization and the expansion of its network of points of sale, particularly in France with openings planned in Marseille and Paris in 2025.
