Electric Metals Announces Major Resource Expansion for Emily Manganese Project

Electric Metals (USA) Limited has unveiled a significant increase in the resource estimates for its Emily Manganese Project, located in central Minnesota. According to the recent data, there is a 20.9% hike in Indicated Resources, reaching 6.2 million tonnes at an average manganese grade of 19.27%. A striking 596.5% rise in Inferred Resource brings it to 4.9 million tonnes with an average grade of 17.50%, based on a 10% cutoff grade. Additionally, a 64.2% and 800.1% increase was seen in Indicated and Inferred Resources respectively when applying a 5% cutoff grade.

These estimates position the Emily project as North America’s highest-grade manganese deposit. The Mineral Resource was compiled in compliance with NI 43‐101 standards by Forte Dynamics, leveraging data from new and historical drilling activities. The survey included 29 diamond core holes drilled in 2023 and 7 holes from 2011 and 2012, covering the eastern and central parts of the deposit. This detail-oriented geological model enhances the understanding of the deposit's gradation and zonation.

Brian Savage, CEO of Electric Metals, expressed enthusiasm over the findings, emphasizing the company’s commitment to the manganese market in North America. The firm plans to continue drilling and metallurgical testing to progress the resources to mineable reserves and optimize the manganese extraction process.

The Emily Manganese Deposit’s strategic location in the Cuyuna Iron Range underscores its historical and future significance. With an extensive history of manganese extraction paired with this sizable resource update, Electric Metals (USA) Limited aims to solidify its footprint in the energy, technology, and industrial sectors in the U.S., contributing significantly to the domestic supply chain of essential minerals for clean energy and technology applications.
