Enapter AG to Deliver Containerised Electrolysers for Major Energy Projects
Enapter AG has been selected to supply containerised electrolysers for two significant projects: Europe's largest renewable energy research initiative and a Clean Hydrogen Hub in Canada. The Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) has ordered an AEM Nexus 500 electrolyser with a capacity of 500 kW for its Energy Lab in Germany, deepening its collaboration with Enapter.
This electrolyser will produce green hydrogen to support various test scenarios and pilot plants at the Energy Lab, which is co-funded by multiple German ministries and research organizations. The system can generate around 225 kilograms of hydrogen per day with a purity of 99.999%.
In Canada, Simon Fraser University will also deploy an AEM Nexus 500 for the Clean Hydrogen Hub research project in British Columbia, aimed at raising awareness about hydrogen's potential to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Both projects underscore Enapter’s commitment to advancing renewable energy technologies and expanding its global presence. The Canadian initiative is supported by a CAD 10 million grant from the Pacific Economic Development Agency of Canada.
