ENCAVIS Accelerates Growth in Germany with New 114MW Solar Park in Borrentin

In a significant step towards expanding its renewable energy capacity, Encavis AG has embarked on constructing a 114-megawatt solar park in Borrentin, Germany. This project, a collaboration with BELECTRIC, aims to enhance Encavis AG's energy production, presenting it as the largest of its kind for the company in the region. Expected to generate 119 GWh annually, this initiative positions Encavis on a path to achieving a 7 GW generation capacity in Europe by 2027.

The groundbreaking ceremony, marking the start of this ambitious project, witnessed the participation of key stakeholders including the Mayor of Borrentin and representatives from ENCAVIS and BELECTRIC. This partnership underscores a longstanding cooperation between the two entities, signaling BELECTRIC's solid footprint in the German renewable energy sector.

Upon completion, the solar park will span an area equivalent to 135 football fields, featuring around 200,000 solar modules. These installations are anticipated to supply green electricity to the Allego network, under a 10-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), commencing September 2024. Notably, the location chosen for the solar park ensures no competition with agricultural use, given its lower soil quality rating.

This development aligns with Encavis AG's commitment to sustainable energy production, extending its influence in the renewable energy market across Europe.
