ENCAVIS Acquires 199 MW Wind and Solar Portfolio in Spain

Encavis AG, an operator of wind and solar parks based in Hamburg, has acquired a 199 MW renewable energy portfolio in Northern Spain from BayWa r.e.. Located near Zaragoza in the Aragon region, the portfolio includes three wind farms with a total capacity of 142 MW and two photovoltaic plants totaling 57 MWp. This setup maximizes efficiency by using shared grid infrastructure, reducing connection costs.

The wind farms, each with Nordex N163 turbines, are under construction and set for grid connection between late 2025 and early 2026. The photovoltaic plants are progressing on schedule, with grid connection also planned for late 2025. Once operational, the portfolio is expected to generate approximately 467 GWh of clean electricity annually.

This acquisition demonstrates Encavis' expansion strategy and commitment to sustainable energy solutions. It's also a testament to their ongoing partnership with BayWa r.e., highlighting their mutual dedication to advancing Europe's energy transition.
