Energiekontor AG Sells Two Wind Park Projects to Elsdorf

Energiekontor AG, a prominent German developer and operator of renewable energy projects, has announced the sale of two wind park projects to the city of Elsdorf. These projects, Elsdorf-Frankeshoven and Elsdorf-Tollhausen, are located in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, with a combined capacity of 40 megawatts.

The wind parks will consist of seven Nordex N149 turbines, expected to generate approximately 90 gigawatt hours annually. This is sufficient to power over 27,000 households and reduce carbon emissions by 68,000 tons each year. These projects will also benefit from an EEG feed-in tariff awarded by the Federal Network Agency in February 2025.

This transaction further strengthens local renewable energy initiatives in Elsdorf, as noted by Energiekontor CEO Peter Szabo and Elsdorf Mayor Andreas Heller. Energiekontor has completed four sales this year and is poised for further deals in Germany and abroad.
