Energiekontor and Olmatic Collaborate on Solar Park Battery Storage

Energiekontor AG and Olmatic GmbH have announced a strategic alliance focused on implementing a battery storage system at the Vogelsang solar park in Brandenburg's Oberhavel district. This collaboration aims to increase the efficiency and economic viability of photovoltaic systems, marking a step forward in the integration of storage technologies in renewable energy.

The 58-hectare solar park, planned to commence in late 2025, will deliver approximately 71 gigawatt hours annually, sufficient to power over 20,000 German households while reducing carbon emissions by 50,000 tonnes. The integration of a battery system aims to stabilize energy supply by storing surplus energy, thus enhancing market opportunities and improving the predictability of solar power delivery.

Peter Szabo, CEO of Energiekontor AG, emphasized the complementary peaks of wind and solar power, enhancing annual generation stability. The partnership embodies a commitment to environmental responsibility alongside economic success, setting a benchmark for future sustainable projects.
