Eramet Grande Côte achieves IRMA level 50 in responsible mining
Eramet Grande Côte, a mineral sands mining site in Senegal, announces that it has reached the IRMA 50 performance level. It thus becomes the first site in the Eramet Group to be audited according to this globally recognized standard for responsible mining.
The group's commitment to responsible practices was demonstrated by an external audit, which confirmed the strength of its environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices. The site achieved scores of 74% for business integrity and social responsibility, and 67% for positive legacy planning and environmental responsibility.
This level of performance was achieved thanks to a transparent approach by the Group, which is committed to continuing follow-up audits every 18 months to ensure the maintenance of the IRMA standard requirements.
