Eramet Grande Côte, a mineral sands mining site in Senegal, has achieved the IRMA 50 performance level under the Initiative for Responsible Mining Assurance (IRMA) standard. This marks Eramet Group's first site to undergo an IRMA audit, highlighting its commitment to responsible mining practices. Achieving this accolade places Eramet Grande Côte among just 14 mining sites globally with an IRMA performance evaluation.

The audit, part of Eramet's voluntary approach initiated in 2022, was conducted by an independent external body. It assessed the site's environmental, social, and governance practices. The audit results, scoring 67% in both environmental responsibility and planning for positive legacies, illustrate areas for improvement, prompting the formulation of action plans to address these.

The achievement aligns with Senegal's goals for economic sovereignty through transparent and responsible mining practices. Eramet aims to engage stakeholders in adopting rigorous environmental and social practices while maintaining high governance standards.
