Eurazeo Launches Impact Buyout Fund to Address Planetary Boundaries
Eurazeo has announced the launch of the Eurazeo Planetary Boundaries Fund 1 (EPBF) with a target size of at least €750 million. The fund aims to invest in companies that address the overstepping of planetary boundaries, such as climate change and biodiversity, to ensure a safe operating space for humanity.
The fund will focus on two main themes: promoting a regenerative and circular economy, and supporting solutions for transition and adaptation. It will invest primarily in small to mid-market European companies across sectors like agriculture, waste management, and low-carbon energy.
Managed under the supervision of Eurazeo Executive Board member Sophie Flak, the fund will benefit from an advisory board comprising experts like Hans Bruyninckx, Sandrine Dixson-Decleve, and Catherine McKenna. This board will provide strategic direction and help mobilize capital for impactful investments.
Eurazeo Co-CEOs, Christophe Bavière and William Kadouch-Chassaing, emphasized that the launch aligns with their strategic roadmap to offer value-creating funds with a strong ESG approach.
