Eurobattery Minerals Strengthens Role in Circular Battery Ecosystem with BATCircle3.0 Participation
Eurobattery Minerals AB, through its subsidiary FinnCobalt Oy, reaffirms its commitment to the BATCircle Project, a Finnish initiative enhancing the circular battery ecosystem. Spearheaded by Aalto University, BATCircle focuses on boosting Finland's battery value chain through collaboration with companies and research bodies. The project aligns with Eurobattery's mission for sustainable mineral production in Europe.
FinnCobalt's involvement in BATCircle since phase 2 (2021-2024) covers the entire battery chain from exploration to recycling. The new phase, BATCircle3.0, launches amid rising battery demand, reinforced by a 13.4 million euro grant from Business Finland. The initiative is seen as pivotal in refining and recycling battery materials, marking Finland as a leader in the lithium-ion supply chain.
As a full consortium member, FinnCobalt's contributions underscore Eurobattery Minerals' dedication to sustainable practices, consistent with EU goals for circular battery production.
