EuropaCorp's Half-Year Financial Results for 2024/2025
EuropaCorp's first half of 2024/2025 showed mixed results. The company reported revenues of €11.4 million, a decrease from €13.4 million the previous year, mainly due to lower TV/SVOD sales. The theatrical release of "Weekend in Taipei" underperformed, affecting revenues further.
The operating margin was €0.7 million, down from €3.7 million in the prior year, marking a decrease to 6% of sales. Despite a reduction in overhead costs by 25%, EuropaCorp faced a net loss of €4.9 million, compared to a slight profit of €0.1 million the previous year.
Cash flow from operating activities improved to €12.4 million, benefiting from international distributor payments for "Weekend in Taipei." However, investment activities saw an increase in net debt by €5.9 million, reflecting continued financial commitments, particularly in new film projects.
