Eutelsat and Türksat Sign Agreement for In-Flight Connectivity

Eutelsat Group and Türksat have entered a new multi-million-dollar, multi-year agreement. The deal involves leveraging Eutelsat's KONNECT VHTS satellite to provide in-flight connectivity services across Europe. KONNECT VHTS is notable for its 500 Gbps Ka-band capacity, supporting high-quality and cost-effective services for airlines.

The agreement allows Türksat, a leading satellite operator, to enhance its aero mobility offerings by utilizing multiple beams of the KONNECT VHTS. Türksat aims to provide reliable in-flight connectivity services to its European clients, enriching its service capabilities in this expanding market.

Eutelsat's CEO, Eva Berneke, expressed pride in this partnership, highlighting KONNECT VHTS' design to address European connectivity needs. Türksat's General Manager, Ahmet Hamdi ATALAY, emphasized the cooperation's potential for new opportunities in the in-flight connectivity market.
