Eutelsat Expands LEO Aviation Services with High-Speed Connectivity

Eutelsat has announced the operational launch of its OneWeb low Earth orbit (LEO) services for aviation, enhancing connectivity for commercial and business aircraft. Over 100 certified antenna installations have been completed. Notably, Air Canada and Embraer Phenom 300 are among the first to utilize these services. The current backlog includes over 1,000 aircraft.

In partnership with Intelsat, Hughes, and Panasonic Avionics, Eutelsat is delivering multi-orbit solutions that incorporate both geostationary (GEO) and LEO capabilities. In business aviation, collaborations with Gogo and Textron highlight the integration of these technologies into new jets like the Cessna Citation and Airbus ACJ models.

These services are designed to meet evolving global connectivity needs, providing high-speed, low-latency solutions that enhance the passenger experience. Eutelsat aims for long-term growth in its aviation services, with a focus on a flexible and scalable in-flight connectivity ecosystem.
