Eve Air Mobility has selected Latecoere as the supplier for the doors of its electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft. Eve, a global leader in eVTOL manufacturing, focuses on sustainable, all-electric flight and is headquartered in Melbourne, Florida. The company is dedicated to developing a four-passenger, one pilot eVTOL aircraft.

Latecoere will design and manufacture both passenger and pilot doors for the eVTOL, aiming to meet development, certification, and rapid production milestones while emphasizing safety, weight optimization, and low-carbon footprints.

Latecoere CEO Greg Huttner stated, “This contract results from close collaboration between our teams in France and the Americas. It strengthens our expertise in composites and positions us in a promising market segment. We are excited to support Eve’s development and the future of urban mobility.”

Eve announced last year that its first eVTOL production facility would be located in Taubaté, Brazil. The company has started assembling its first full-scale prototype and plans a subsequent test campaign. Eve boasts the industry's largest backlog with letters of intent for up to 2,900 eVTOL aircraft, scheduled for delivery and service entry in 2026.
