EvGateway Opens Three EV Fast Charging Sites in Vestal, Ithaca, and Owego
EvGateway has opened new Direct Current Fast Charging (DCFC) sites across New York's Southern Tier, supported by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA). This initiative aims to expand the electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure in the state.
The newly launched DCFC sites are strategically located at the Hampton Inn Owego, Courtyard by Marriott Binghamton in Vestal, and the Holiday Inn Express in Ithaca. Each site features four DCFC chargers with a 180kW capacity and two alternating current (AC) charging stations, available 24/7 for user convenience.
"We are thrilled to bring these advanced charging facilities to New York's southern tier," said Reddy Marri, President at EvGateway. The project aims to support EV adoption and sustainability and has been significantly supported by NYSERDA.
NYSERDA President and CEO Doreen M. Harris emphasized the importance of these sites in improving access to fast charging for EVs, helping reduce range anxiety, and encouraging EV adoption.
