Ezhou Huahu Airport Strengthens Position as Key Cargo Hub in China
In 2025, Ezhou Huahu International Airport has solidified its role as a major air cargo hub in China, with a significant increase in international freight throughput by 138% year-on-year in the first three quarters. The airport now supports 45 international and regional cargo routes and 59 domestic routes across China's provincial regions.
The airport's strategic location within central China facilitates rapid transit of high-value goods. Its growing logistics network now includes a warehouse in Milan, attracting air carriers like Atlas Air and Etihad Cargo. The establishment of the Ezhou Airport Comprehensive Bonded Zone further supports its cargo operations.
Customized infrastructure developments, such as streamlined customs clearance processes, have improved efficiency, making the airport a pivotal element of China's "Air Silk Road" and enhancing its global trade capability.
