Finnvera Enhances EMTN Programme and Joins Nasdaq Helsinki
Finnvera Oyj, a state-owned Finnish financing company, has updated its Euro Medium Term Note (EMTN) programme, increasing from EUR 15 billion to EUR 17 billion, effective December 20, 2024. The State of Finland has endorsed and guaranteed the increase. The programme’s rating aligns with Finland's long-term debt, noted as Aa1 by Moody's and AA+ by Fitch.
By the close of September 2024, Finnvera had issued bonds amounting to approximately EUR 12 billion under this programme. These funds are pivotal for financing export credits, essential for securing international deals for Finnish export companies. The initiative aims to provide competitive financing for these clients.
Moreover, Finnvera was recently sanctioned as an issuer on Nasdaq Helsinki, indicating plans to list future bonds on this platform. Funding Manager Jarno Kosonen considers Nasdaq a strategic venue for their bond listings.
