Finnvera Oyj Announces Changes in Board of Directors and Supervisory Board Following Annual General Meeting
Following its Annual General Meeting on March 21, 2024, Finnvera plc disclosed significant personnel adjustments within its Board of Directors and Supervisory Board. Highlighting the changes, Jan Hjelt, appointed from the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment, takes on the role of new member and First Vice Chair of Finnvera’s Board of Directors, alongside Eila Kreivi who joins as a new Board member.
Retention within the board also featured prominently, with Petri Ekman retaining his chairmanship, and Mikko Spolander confirmed as the Second Vice Chair. The continuity of service is further emphasized through members Hannu Jaatinen, Anne Nurminen, Elina Piispanen, and Petri Viertiö, who will remain in their positions on the Board.
Departures were also noted, with Elise Pekkala and Ritva Laukkanen stepping down from the Board. Meanwhile, the Supervisory Board welcomed Hanna-Maija Kiviranta and Johanna Reinikainen, enhancing its composition. Notably, Sofia Vikman retains her chair position within the Supervisory Board, supported by Vice Chair Seppo Eskelinen and other continuing members.
The meeting also ratified the consolidated and parent company’s financial statements for 2023, absolved the company’s various boards and CEO of liability, and endorsed the Board of Directors’ proposal on the use of the company’s results. Ernst & Young Oy, with Miikka Hietala as the principal auditor, was elected as Finnvera’s regular auditor, concluding the procedural aspects of the meeting.
