First Phosphate Announces Initiative to Support Housing in North America

On May 8, 2024, First Phosphate Corp. revealed that it had signed a letter of intent with the Australian company Rapid Building Systems to establish a Rapidwall manufacturing plant in Quebec. This initiative aims to provide environmentally friendly building materials for rural and indigenous communities in Canada and the United States. Rapidwall uses phosphogypsum, a byproduct of the phosphoric acid purification process conducted by First Phosphate. This material makes it possible to build in a more sustainable and ecological way.

The agreement provides First Phosphate with exclusive rights to the sales and marketing of Rapidwall and Rapidseal products in North America. Rapidseal, another innovation, also transforms phosphogypsum into spray plaster for fire-resistant applications in various sectors. According to First Phosphate executives, these technologies will significantly contribute to the circular economy and reduce the carbon footprint in North American construction.
