First Phosphate publishes initial resource estimate for Bégin-Lamarche deposit

First Phosphate Corp. announced the initial mineral resource estimate for its Bégin-Lamarche phosphate deposit located in Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean, Quebec. Highlights of the estimate include an inferred pit resource of 214.0 Mt at 6.01% P2O5 and an indicated pit resource of 41 Mt at 6.49% P2O5. Metallurgical testwork predicts an apatite concentrate grade of 40% P2O5 with a recovery of 91%.

The Bégin-Lamarche deposit could also produce magnetite and ilmenite concentrate. The total resource includes three zones: Mountain, North and South. Drilling was carried out by Laurentia Exploration Inc. and analyzed under the supervision of P&E Mining Consultants Inc. A technical report compliant with standard 43-101 will be published within 45 days.
