Florentaise announces the marketing authorization of Flomix, a biostimulant based on Hortifibre® strains
Florentaise obtains marketing authorization for its biostimulant Flomix, developed from strains derived from its Hortifibre® wood fiber. This authorization marks a major development for society by opening up to the opportunities offered by agricultural biostimulation.
The biostimulant, composed of three essential microorganisms: Trichoderma citrinoviride, Pseudomonas fluorescens and mycorrhizal fungi Glomus sp., promises significant benefits for plant growth. It notably improves tolerance to water stress and optimizes the absorption of nutrients, helping to reduce the need for fertilizer.
Flomix has proven its benefits through trials at the Florentaise R&D center, revealing a substantial increase in aboveground biomass and number of flowers under water stress. These positive results pave the way for potential application in large crops, after initially targeting the horticultural market.
The introduction of Flomix underlines Florentaise's commitment to promoting environmentally friendly agriculture, reducing the carbon footprint and contributing to adaptation to climate change through natural and local products.
