Flughafen Wien AG Reports Strong Growth in Q1-3/2024
Flughafen Wien AG has announced significant growth in passenger traffic, revenue, and net profit for the first three quarters of 2024. The group saw a 9.1% increase in passenger numbers, reaching 31.6 million, with Vienna Airport accounting for 24.1 million passengers, a 7.2% rise.
Revenue for the period increased by 13.3% to €792.5 million, and net profit rose by 19.4% to €207 million. October 2024 alone saw 3.8 million passengers for the group, representing an 8% growth from the previous year.
Looking ahead, Flughafen Wien AG anticipates surpassing €1 billion in revenue for 2024, driven by continued demand for travel and strategic investments. The company targets over 39 million passengers by year-end, with a significant contribution from Malta and Kosice airports.
